The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to get mopping off their to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best robot vacuum that mops navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and works well, but this is something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.
The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen odors.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the amount of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to remember that it carries periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot hoover and mop automatic vacuum and mop robot that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect the majority of hair shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was beginning or finishing its work.
The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which could be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot vacuum uk that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot vacuum best or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
