1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They feature motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top choice) they utilize smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans that avoid common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also come with Carpet Boost, a feature that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our tests on floors that are bare, and they're particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. Also, it doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.
It's still a great deal, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work or at school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be changed for one that is wet in just a few minutes.
2. iRobot Roomba X30

This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an intuitive mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to sleep.

Additionally, a recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is ideal for busy families.
iRobot RX3

It also mops with a single pad and a reciprocating movement that cleans better that most of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that is washable.

It also comes with an app that is less intuitive and has a tiny base station that does not double as a bin to empty.
