1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The i3+ EVO and its sibling the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a good alternative for those who want a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the robot's dustbin after it has filled up.

Both robots are adept at picking up surface debris off carpets and hard floors and they're excellent in maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top rated robot vacuum-rated robots that we test the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and may have issues navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is empty it will return to its docking station and automatically emptying its trash into the station's external dustbin and continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes about three hours to recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is the self-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot vacuum cleaner amazon using voice or through the app.

The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and sweep a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in most homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered with a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy that can provide power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. It has three suction modes that can be adjusted to the task. It can quickly switch between handheld and automatic floor cleaning machine vacuum, and vice versa.

The model comes with a dock which charges the Dyson to 100 percent in 3.5 hours. It also offers an easy access to two attachments and the handheld. This is a significant improvement over previous Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. The claims of its marketing that it can last up to 60 minutes of running time are not true as CR's tests have shown. This is a typical not an extraordinary time to run an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. This is enough time to sweep a typical-sized home, but not enough to reach every area. (A second time generally works). That's not to say this model doesn't have its benefits It's lighter and more mobile than the older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming performance is noticeably better on carpets with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums the 694 is a basic model that's a good option for those who don't want to invest too much on a robotic. It was able to remove most types of debris and sizes in our tests, and frequently went over the same area multiple times to ensure an efficient clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach corners and edges of walls.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it lacks the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, like our top picks, i3+EVO and J7+ Series. As a result, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't as sturdy, and often is power-depleted before returning to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 because it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and can better maneuver itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges quicker.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also comes with physical boundaries strips that can be controlled by the voice assistant on your smartphone. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and is more effective on low-pile and bare floors.

The app offers a variety of options for customizing your robotic vacuum cleaner commercial cleaner. These include mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior customizations docking frequency settings, and more. It's easy to understand and easy to use, just as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our testing, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) very well, picking up 86 percent of it. However, it wasn't particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's priced higher than other models we've tested and this could be a deterrent for some buyers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that can be accessed via the app, and you can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature lets you keep track of your pets or the kids if you're away from home. The filter and dustbin can be cleaned to make cleanup quick and easy. The Jet Bot AI+ also comes with a clean and tidy station that self-empties and helps keep the robot's dustbin clean and optimizes its suction power for each cleaning.
