The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through a clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet Robot Vacuums That Mop vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and works well however, it's something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuum uk vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it has a variety of innovative features. However, it's important to remember that it carries regular expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot vacuum and mop is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map, which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to keep specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able to capture some of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some lovely jingles that signal that it was starting and finishing its work.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base comes with a few control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
