Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are a great method of quickly cleaning up messes. The top robot vacuums and mops in my tests have top-notch mapping and navigation and are able to pick up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds with out leaving them behind.

They're also simple to use using an app that lets you plan cleaning tasks and see what they're up to.

1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum. It is equipped with the latest features. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile and was able to pick up human hair and pet hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking interface that includes a mini map of your home and some on-screen buttons for manual control.

The S8's Dirt-Detection Technology allows it to adjust the cleaning mode based on the level of dirt. It will stop and clean its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.

The mop roller comes with several other clever features, including docks that can be connected to your home's plumbing system to clean and wash it without needing to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8 it is possible to use voice commands to specify room cleaning modes and granular control using only your voice.

2. Yeedi Cube

The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking a hands-free robot vacuum that also has mopping capabilities. It's one of many combinator robot vacuums that include mops that are also offered at a lower price than other models.

Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get started. This involves establishing an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've done that, the robot will begin vacuuming and mopping with ease.

It's important to note that the mapping process could take a while, and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has an accurate image of your space. The object detection is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles however, it got stuck on a looser rug with tassels and required a flip to get it out of the way. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do all of the above.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubbing. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an innovative tool that can reach places even robot vacuums cannot.

This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and other clever features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can learn your home's environment and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app lets you customize a variety of settings that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.

The X2 Combo is also self-prepping by having both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging base after each job to wash their pads and empty their dust bins and put the waste in bags that self-seal. This helps to keep the system clean and prevents allergens from recirculating. Its battery life is long enough to handle large spaces without requiring a recharge mid-clean.

4. Eufy S1 Pro

The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum and mop that comes with impressive features at affordable prices. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power as well as a rotating brush for carpets and hard floors, and great obstacle-avoiding. It also features an innovative mopping system which uses a roller continuously filled with water to pick up dirt and deposit it in the water that is dirty tank.

Its navigation system was efficient. It stayed clear of steps and walked close to walls without crashing. It struggled with fine debris and didn't always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also high, and it could be less of a set-and-forget model than other models.

Like many robotic vacuums and mops the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easy and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to an established schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app, which gives a clear overview and plenty of configurability.

5. Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot vacuums/mowers available, and it provides impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. The LIDAR mapping sensors can detect furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with a reasonable accuracy. The application allows users to adjust the map coverage, set up no-go zones, or customize cleaning preferences. The main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which could be an issue for many robotic vacuums.

The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mops that spin at 180 RPM and can apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system also incorporates intelligent carpet detection, which lifts the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating the carpet.

The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free maintenance centre, automatically washing and drying the mops before refilling them with water and detergent. The base station comes with an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust and allows for seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.

6. S10

A few hundred dollars more than the S8 and this robot is a slick job of keeping my office spotless and also take on the corners of my cramped apartment. It utilizes a laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D model of your home so that it can know what to stay clear of. In addition, unlike other vacuums that have mopping capabilities, it has object/obstacle detection that is able to avoid things like bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop!).

Other fantastic features include a self emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing, adjustable for water temperature and an extended side-reaching brush that is able to reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also customize the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.

Like the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping that can distinguish between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. It can also skip cleaning rooms that aren't clean if you want to reduce time. It's an excellent option if you have a mix of flooring in your home but do not want to invest the extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features.

7. Q5 Pro

If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance as well as touch-ups to wet messes, this robot is an excellent choice. It comes with a wide range of features, including a self emptying dustbin, a separate dock for refilling water, and adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It's quite quiet and can maneuver between furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's not able to pick up knotted rug tassels and its battery drains slightly faster than other models in our tests.

The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that offers an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek. It didn't perform as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests as the much expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however, it performed very well overall. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode for light debris to the powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It even has the ability to remove and reconnect the mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.

8. K10 Plus

The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used in small areas. It's extremely quiet and speedy and is a great choice for maneuvering around tight spaces. It also does a excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.

It's smaller than many of its competitors however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be configured to take pictures of every object it finds (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as 'not located' so that they are not picked up again during future cleanings. The photos are encrypted and aren't tied to your account.

It's great for vacuuming, but not so great in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and it basically drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
