In contrast to other robovacs we test, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's filled. This reduces hands-on maintenance and keeps the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it must be manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7model, this model uses state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not for the i3+ EVO.
The i3+ EVO is more effective of picking up surface debris when compared to other robovacs we've examined, but it's not the best at cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively quiet. It was a bit rough on furniture, since it pushed chairs away. It also made some collisions with the sides of the bed.

The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also impressive when in comparison to other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. When the battery is low it goes back to its dock and recharges before resuming cleaning where it left off. You can control the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is one of the first robots we've seen incorporate 3D mapping. This along with other advances has helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings and set up no-go zones. You can also see the battery's status. The app is simple to use, though it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit which is slated to be added by 2025.
