Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the best ways to improve your equipment without relying on massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upp your items effectively.

Upgrades in equipment can add an additional bonus to the item's base stats. The amount of bonus varies according to the rarity and quality of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components make your weapons and armour better. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres, or purchasing them from karma sellers. They can also be salvaged from equipment with them, or by utilizing a high-tier salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. In contrast to other items upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when removed from an item.

Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an item but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to boost the level or experience gained from upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be forged to give additional benefits. A glyph that is crafted can boost the chance of upgrading its target while boost upgrades increase the attack or defense capabilities of weapons.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. It will display a list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either case, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.

Each component has its own experience multiplier, which affects how much more experience an item receives when it is upgraded with that component. Organic components, for instance, have an increased multiplier of experience than mechanical components. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you reach the multiplier of experience for the next level of the equipment or weapon, and then change to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade item upgrader kit (Find Out More) maximum number that is available for. The number of upgrades available is determined by its upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon of the tier 10. However, the most commonly used upgrade for weapons is the tier 6 weapon and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a group of items which share bonuses. Each item can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item or set piece will give it a +1 increase to its primary stat. After subsequent upgrades the stats of the primary one will be boosted a bit further (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+), and each time you upgrade the item it will have one of its additional stats is boosted randomly.

Upgrades can also boost a weapon's damage base. This can be crucial for certain types of weapons. However, weapons can't be upgraded to have a higher maximum defense roll than their regular base. It is a good method to increase the value of certain sets and unique items, however it's important to remember that they might not be superior to a high-level runeword in any build.

If you are upgrading an item that has an added bonus it can be rerolled one time, and its guarantee will reset to zero. Rerolling costs the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the new item will have additional bonuses. Upgrading can be done at the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be bought by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide an extra reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a single time with the same materials as original item.

Rerolling

A player is able to reroll any item acquired in the game provided they have enough reroll tokens to do so. When an upgraded item is being rerolled, it can be exchanged for a version that is level 1 of the same item in a different set. Reroll tokens are available at the store for an amount of in-game currency, but they aren't refundable. The new item will offer the same bonuses as the original, but the stats will also differ.

In addition to rerolling items players can also alter the identification of any item by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change its identification from a weapons to armor, or reverse it. The basic stats and requirements remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that are wearing the gear.

The player can also upgrade the item level for any equipment equipped. This can be done by talking to an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, the item type, and the number of crests. Each step will give 5% more damage to weapons.

The upgrade of an item can boost its power however, it can also lower its quality. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all however, others will need to be upgraded to maximize their potential. One player may wish to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance or FHR) to see what else it can be.

Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People use it to gain access to an item or character they would not otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming, and the RNG gods don't always want to cooperate. The only options left are to spend real cash or grind lots. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I think this feature was designed to add some value to expensive and rare items. However, since most gear is replaced fairly quickly, and can only be upgraded by one level, you will typically replace it before it is too old. It's also not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets as the power of the gem will be greater than the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.

When you click on the upgrade option on an item, you will be presented with a small window displaying the upgrade template of the item as well as the cost of Valorstone and crest to boost the level of the item. Weapons and armor will have different costs, with the latter typically being more costly. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current base ilvl.

The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the current ilvl of the item and the upgrade template. Additionally, the ilvl of the new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl reduction percentage. For example an upgrade of 8% will decrease the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 8%.

The item will get upgrades to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damages and block, parry and dodge rating, in addition to the base level. The increases are also built on the upgrade template.

The amount of defense and damage the item receives when leveled up can be shown below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade items template window. In addition to practice equipment, all other weapons and armor gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can fetch more than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other pieces of armor, such as circlets and tiaras.
