Rerolling
Rerolling involves creating an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of obtaining the weapon or character you'd like. This can be done to help you level up faster or to gain better loot, such as an improved weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like, regardless of their power. It could be because they like the style or the personality of the character.
You should ensure that you make clean changes every time you restart. You should check locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev test. The patch should be uploaded with a clear distinction to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls may be weeks or days long depending on how fortunate you are. During this time, you should avoid enemy camps that are optional to avoid wasting time. Additionally it is recommended to not repeat any quests that can be completed later in the game. This can help you save time and energy.
Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is making sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to enhance your character's strength and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also crucial to know the limitations of the system.
Rerolling is not a necessary part of the game, but it can be useful to increase your chances of obtaining a specific character or weapon. It could be beneficial when you're trying to find the most effective character in the game or if you're looking to try out different builds and play styles.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or members of the class). Sets allow for operations like union, intersection and distinction.
If you upgrade a set item upgrades, it transforms into an upgraded version that is better than the previous version. This means that the weapon and armor will have a higher defense value and less requirements for strength.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets to parity with items in higher-level sets. Upgrades like Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense by 217 to 321 and decrease the strength requirements and level requirements to a more achievable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in a set can be upgraded. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and don't need upgrading. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance even more. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
