Top Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum cleaner industrial vacuum can keep floors clean enough to reduce the frequency with which you'll need to manually vacuum. Select a vacuum with good navigation, has the ability to clean stairs and corners and also has large bins that will need to be emptying every so often.

There are models that mop and charge themselves This is an advantage important for families with children or pets. A lot of the top performers in our tests offer decent obstacle-avoiding capabilities.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling, the i3 EVO. They differ only in the fact that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ a great option for those who want a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of having to empty their dust bin manually when it is full.

Both robots are adept at picking up surface dirt on hard floors and carpets and can move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities, so it may get stuck on things like socks or power cords and it can have difficulty navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot recommends clearing areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes clearing out any toys or clutter it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the dustbin and filter clear so they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station's external dustbin. It then continues cleaning robot price from where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is the Top Rated Robot vacuum model in iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with the latest technology. It's self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is its auto vacuum cleaner-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can direct your robot using the app or via voice.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room and sweep a specific space. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered by seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that produces power without fading for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filtration system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to collect large particles and fine dust. It has three suction modes that can be adjusted to the task. It quickly converts from floor vac to handheld vacuum, and then back to floor.

This model comes with a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100 percent in 3.5 hours. It also provides an easy access to two attachments and a wand. This is a major improvement over previous Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The main issue with the V10 is its limited running time. The tests conducted by CR show that its claims to run up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a typical, not an exceptional, run time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's enough time to vacuum the typical home but not enough to reach every spot. (A second time is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on low-pile floor carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on an expensive robot. It's capable of sucking up a variety of kinds of debris in our testing, and it frequently goes over the same areas multiple times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice addition.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the mapping capability of more advanced models like our top picks and the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. As a result, it may get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't as sturdy, and frequently runs out of battery power before returning to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways in that it has fewer components that require regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is better at moving itself. It also has a larger dustbin and charges quicker.

The RoboVac X8 is a slick RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for a variety of purposes, because it has a longer battery life, has the ability to alter its suction power mode manually and has physical boundary strips, and can be operated by your phone's voice assistant. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and is more effective on floors with low pile and bare.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a brand you see on all sorts of home electronics So it's no surprise that they're one of the most popular robot cleaner commercial vacuum and mop manufacturers. Jet Bot AI+ has an advanced onboard technology that allows for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app gives you plenty of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior modification docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to use and understand, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. However, it didn't do particularly well in avoiding taller objects like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's priced higher than other models we've tested, and this could be a deal breaker for some buyers.

The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that is accessible through the app. You can also set up a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to check in on pets or kids when you're away from home. The dustbin and filter can be washed for quick, easy cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ also comes with a clean station that's self-emptying, which helps keep the robot's dustbin clear and optimizes its suction power for each cleaning run.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

Contrary to other robotic vacuums that are made for hard floors and carpets, Black and Decker robots are specifically designed for hard floors. They have an extra wide cleaning path, as well as dust bins that are 2X larger than the competition. This lets them clean the area for a longer period of time. Plus, they include two side sweepers that clean around edges and corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model comes with AutoSense technology, which senses the presence of dirt on surfaces or embedded dirt and automatically adjusts its power level. The vacuum also comes with an app that allows users to see the virtual map, manage functions, and schedules. You can also check the status of the vacuum and connect it to its dock for charging at the press of a single button. The app allows you to personalize the lights on top of the vacuum by using different colors, so that you can clearly see what areas it's focusing on or where it's stuck.

The app also makes it simple to manually steer the robot in the event of need. My living room rug, for instance is darkly colored that can trip up some other robots. However, the HRV 425BL kept moving across the border, without registering it as a cliff. And the ability to set up weekly cleaning schedules is a fantastic time-saving feature.
