The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests of floors with no carpet They are also adept at cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.
It's still a good value, especially if your home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save money. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it when you're at work or going to school. The only thing it lacks that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad to a dry one in just a few seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also has strong suction and an automatic bin for emptying. It's the best automatic vacuum robot vacuum for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.
This top-performing combination vacuum and mop makes use of advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste, and it learns your home's layout over time to provide more efficient cleaning. The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average when compared to other models.

It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
This robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that appears much like a Roomba model than the bulky units of the competition. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score 100% in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud that could be a problem if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to fall asleep.
It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient however, it's going to cost you more and make more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot vacuums with mop mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and detect obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however this was not foolproof in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
The vacuum cleaner comes with a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task.
