Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday robot vacuum cleaner remote vacuum Cleaner Deals

This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot cleaner with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.

The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, top piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it all over the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to know whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best value robot vacuum choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's their cheapest auto vacuum cleaner-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also comes with an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone but it can assist you in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot hoover mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.

It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing point is how it automates many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for plush carpets.

While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price price.

If you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and plenty of room for it to move around but.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is a little more modest than other models, with sleek black finishes and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The most important feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
