Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
The design is also better than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that appears like toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an option for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best amazon vacuum option is probably hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for most people, but it's one that can help you keep the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however it's quite expensive.
It's a small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tested that does well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with an dock that allows the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot cleaner commercial vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot vacuum black friday, there are many other options available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is, however is less expensive and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
