The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads that are found on other robots. The roller covers the full width of the bot, and it is constantly filled with clean, ozonated water from its dock. You can set it up manually to start a full map and clean of everything mapped by the device, or you can choose specific rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine that you've crafted. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It utilizes the sensors on the mop to map the area and determine the most efficient method to clean it.

The Qrevo performed well during our tests, just like all the Roborock models that we've evaluated. Its navigation system is reliable it can map rooms quickly and cleaning them in an organized way. The 'Normal" pathing settings cover a room well, without any major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance function works well, but it's not as advanced as the color camera systems found on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot dangers like thick carpets but it might not always detect small things like rug tassels or electrical wires.

The one glaring flaw of this machine is the lack of a mop after vacuum option which could be a problem for those who are frequently vacuuming prior to cleaning with their robot.
