11 Strategies To Completely Redesign Your Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrades by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item Level upgrade that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item upgrades, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Upgraders for items can be found in many places including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items come from a different set of equipment.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type or gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
