World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Utilizing the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade items tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This can be a disadvantage, as it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to boost the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader (please click the next document) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition and the player having to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to carry every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
