Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item level upgrade that makes certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests depending on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to provide bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment that has an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade components require that the item being upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade components have special visual effects that can be seen when they are applied. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchased from karma sellers or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post or taken from equipment, or obtained as rewards in game.

A variety of upgrade components are available, each offering a different bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any kind of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than the other types of upgrade component. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, while enhancements can be utilized on certain back equipment that is ascended. Injecting an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be inserted into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both are able to be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will show their names in the hover display of the item while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their names to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item upgrader mod will show the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, such as ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to look up and insert these unique characters along with standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols, as well as characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides an initial boost to the stats of the character. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats that alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase which is multiplied by other bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.

Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate them. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the selected item. You are only able to apply the correct Glyph to the item you are looking for. Every weapon or jewelry piece comes with a distinct collection of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be upgraded through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult a Dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph has reached level 15, it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node for every 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a Glyph has been upgraded to its desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will offer its stated bonus and will also boost the other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonus if certain conditions can be met.

Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs you want to see by selecting an option below "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process by which you create a new account to give yourself more chances to play the character or weapon you are interested in. It can assist you in gaining more experience or to obtain more loot, for example, an improved weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters that they like, regardless of their power. It could be because they like the design or the personality of the character.

When you reroll, it is important to ensure that the changes you are making are clear. You should verify locally to see if the patch passes pre-commit and run a Core dev check. You should also upload the patch to an issue using plain diff (see What about an interdiff? ).

Rerolls could take days or weeks to complete, depending on your luck. To speed up the process avoid enemy camps that are optional during this time. Also, avoid repeating quests that you can complete later in the game. This can help you save time and energy.

Another important consideration when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance and power. This could include upgrading your weapons, rerolling your characters and buying upgrades. It is also crucial to know the limitations of the system.

Rerolling may not be a necessity however it can be a way to increase the chances of acquiring the right character or weapon. It can be used to determine the best character or to test different playstyles and builds.

Sets

A set is a group of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of the class). Sets can be used for operations like intersection, union, and distinction.

Upgrades can make a set better than it was before. For weapons and armor, this means it gains an increase in the base defense and an lower strength requirement, and a lower requirement for level.

Upgrading is an excellent way to bring popular single-set items up to level with their higher-tiered set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense by 217 up to 321 and reduce the strength and requirements for level to an achievable range.

However, it's important to note that not all set items are candidates for upgrading. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff, are already exceptional in their own right and don't need upgrading. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could require an upgrade item to improve their stats. For such products, it might be worth the cost to upgrade them.
