It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

This means it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price tag.

If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the best robot vacuum deals, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

The sleek G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
