Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot cleaning machine to stay clear of it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that appears like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots couldn't do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying intelligent vacuum cleaner from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, is an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is one of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice for those who are willing to compromise to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great option for homes with many furniture pieces. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra best rated robot vacuum vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the best self cleaning vacuum on the market - but it's also pricey.

It's a small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does very well at collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price tag.

If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the best robot vacuum deals, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard floors, as well as a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The primary feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable items in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it left off.

The sleek G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
