World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item upgrader mod will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different Best item upgrade of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will have an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it could waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by 10 points. This item can be very valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item level upgrade is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
