The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced cheap robot vacuum to date is the Roomba j7+. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop using your voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top robot vacuum cleaner piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is an excellent choice for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic vacuum cleaners cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

While it lacks certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little misses in corners and on walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, however it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are some of the best on the market however, it's also expensive.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and doesn't come with a dock that lets you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

The main aspect that sets the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with a set of boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
