The best automatic vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and it leaves your floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris as well as hair. Clean them as needed. Some models also self-empty their onboard dust bin into a larger one at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They are equipped with motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they utilize intelligent mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also feature carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it spots an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept at cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the flaws of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's also prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a great deal particularly if your home or office has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also extremely quiet and can be used when you're at work or in school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with self-emptying docks, however. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with an impressive suction system and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot cleaner robot hoover for carpets, however it's not as good as other hoovers in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time and ensure better cleaning. You can change its cleaning schedule and customize zones with the well-designed app. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.

You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when in a carpeted room which prevents cross-contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a decent cleaning job on different flooring and rooms with different flooring types, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was superb and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, but it has superior suction, an onboard dustbin that automatically empties into its base, and supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming it, something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

The robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba model than the boxy models of the competitors. It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot vacuum that vacuums and mops that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot vacuum that vacuums and mops we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a concern in the mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. If you're willing some more volume and a little more cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features that let you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine like Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically empty the vacuum's bin, refills the water tank, and washes and dries mop pads.

The smart robot uses the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time but this was not reliable in our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home according to the amount of dirt they tend to be.

For bigger homes it's recommended to choose one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean one specific area of your home by using the app or voice commands. A stair mode can be useful if you own a lot furniture. Additionally the recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you'd think from its price. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris robots that vacuum and mop was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad and a reciprocating movement which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to set up a spot-clean. It can also be used to it to rank your most filthy areas to improve performance. The app has a range of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can get to corners and underneath furniture more easily. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and more affordable alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, but it's more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums we've test. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
