The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test. It can get stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.
iRobot suggests that you clean the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filter free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is low it will return to its docking station and automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning where it began.
