Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Find models that let you choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging dock to self-empty and clean up stairs.
Many of the best robot cleaner models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to map our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to traverse raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down stairs in a single pass. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.
Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills its water tank with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other models that require more care.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that effortlessly picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also very good with a pair of spinning mop heads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when required.

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run along baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a large space between obstacles. This can lead to missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be simple to use by both novice and experienced users.
