Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that will make certain Pokemon change. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools in order to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the kind of item upgrader kit.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attributes while the equipment is being used. The item being upgraded must be equipped with an upgrade slot to accommodate the component. Most upgrade components require the item to be upgraded to be above the specified level. Certain upgrade items come with special effects that appear when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, purchased from karma traders or traded with other players on the Trading Post, taken from equipment, or obtained as rewards during games.

There are a variety of upgrade components available, each offering a different bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used with any kind of equipment. They also offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enhancements are used to upgrade certain items that are ascended back. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, but doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be inserted in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.

Insignias Enchantments, insignias, and prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia would change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item upgrading will be visible in the tooltip of the item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions and swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to look up and insert these unique characters, as well as normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols, as well as characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides an initial boost in stats for the character. It also has up to four secondary stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied after other bonuses have been applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will bring up a window that displays the Glyphs available to you. Make sure you select the right type of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for and each weapon, jewelry or armor piece has an array of different Glyphs.

Glyphs can be upgraded by running Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more challenging the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience that you will earn. Once a Glyph has reached level 15, it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node for every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will offer the stated bonus and also boost all the other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the Best item upgrade locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses if certain conditions are met, so they're worth looking out for too.

Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by choosing an option beneath "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the options to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process by which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to access a character or weapon that you are interested in. It is done to for you to increase your level faster or to get more loot, such as the purchase of a new weapon for your character. Many players will repeat the roll until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of power. It could be that they like the style or the personality of the character.

You must ensure that you make clean changes every time you reroll. You should verify locally to see if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev check. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue using an unmodified diff (see What's the deal with an interdiff? ).

Rerolls may take a few days or weeks depending on how fortunate you are. During this period, you should avoid any optional enemy camps to cut down on time. You should also avoid re-doing quests that can be completed later on in the game. This will save you time and energy.

When rerolling, it's crucial to be aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance and strength. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. It is also important to be aware of the limitations of the system.

Rerolling isn't a required element of the game however it can be beneficial to increase the chances of winning an item or character. It can be used to determine which character is the Best item upgrader or to test different playstyles and builds.

Sets

A set is an object collection that has 2 common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of a group). Sets can be used for operations such as intersection, union and difference.

When you upgrade an item, it becomes an upgraded version that is superior to the previous version. For armor and weapons, this means it gains an increased base defense value, a lower strength requirement and an lower level requirement.

Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets to parity with items in higher-end sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to an Elite Spired helmet will increase the defense by 217 up to 321 and decrease the strength and requirements for level to an acceptable range.

It's important to remember that not all items in the set are suitable for upgrading. Certain sets, such as the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff are already exceptional in their own way and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their performance even more. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
