Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item that makes certain Pokemon change. The Upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's often given as a prize during Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be placed in weapons, armor trinkets, and gathering tools to increase their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the kind of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and other tools for gathering in order to add attribute bonuses or other effects while using the equipment. The equipment that is upgraded must have an upgrade slot to accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item upgrader being upgraded to be at an amount. Some upgrade components have special visual effects that can be seen when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, bought by karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and redeemed as rewards.

Various upgrade components are available, each providing a different bonus. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, can be used with any kind of equipment. They also offer lower bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions can be used on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, while enrichments are able to be used on back equipment that is ascended. Inserting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be inserted in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will show their names in the hover display of the item while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an item will be displayed in the item upgrade's tooltip.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to view and insert these special characters as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dashes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that do not appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph gives a character boost in their primary stats. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats that affect its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied when other bonuses have been applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will bring up a window that displays the Glyphs that are available to you. Make sure you select the right kind of Glyph can be applied to the selected item upgrades, as each weapon, jewelry or armor piece may have distinct sets of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up by running Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more challenging the dungeon is, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will get. Once a Glyph reaches level 15, it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a glyph has been leveled up to the desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and boost all other nodes in its area on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. The glyphs that are rare might offer dual benefits when certain conditions are met which is why they're worth checking out for too.

If you're having trouble finding a specific glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of different views. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow the selection of glyphs further using an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs; Math Symbols reduces the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process by which you open a new account to give yourself more opportunities to pull an item level upgrade or character you are interested in. This can be done to assist you in gaining more experience or to get more loot, for example, the best weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters that they like, regardless of their power. It could be because they like the style or the personality of the character.

It is important to make a clean change when you restart. You should verify locally to see if the patch passes the pre-commit test and run a core dev test. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue by using plain diff (see What is an interdiff? ).

Rerolls can take days or even weeks to complete, depending on your luck. During this time, it is recommended to avoid enemy camps that are optional to avoid wasting time. Also, avoid repeating quests which can be completed later on in the game. This will save you time and energy.

Another important consideration when rerolling is to be sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are several ways to improve your character's strength and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. Additionally, it is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the upgrade system.

Rerolling isn't necessary however it can be a way to increase the chances of acquiring a certain character or weapon. It can be helpful in the case of trying to find the most effective character or if you're wanting to try different play styles and builds.

Sets

A set is an object collection that has two common attributes (like the number or eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets can be used to perform operations such as intersection, union, and difference.

When you upgrade an item, it transforms into a different version of itself that is superior to the previous one. This means that the weapon and armor will have a higher defense value and less strength requirements.

Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to the same level as those in higher-tier sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense from 217 to 321 and reduce the strength requirements and levels to an acceptable range.

It's important to remember that not all items in an assortment can be upgraded. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield spec or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Exceptional and Elite in their own right and don't need upgrading. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance. For these kinds of products, it might be worth the extra expense to upp them.
