How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO

Upgrade is one of the most sought-after items of Pokemon GO. It lets trainers transform Porygon into Porygon2 and it also gives them the chance to progress in their Pokedex.

This item is scarce, however it can be obtained by spinning a Photo Disc at a Pokestop or as a prize for special occasions. But what does this item actually do?

Components

Upgrade components are objects that can be slotted into weapons, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect when the item level upgrade is used. They are an essential element in crafting and can be found by salvaging or buying from vendors. They can also be found in the form of drops, either from enemies or in item spheres. They can be used to upgrade any weapon or armor with an upgrade slot.

Utilizing upgrade components to increase the amount of experience gained when upgrading gear and weapons is crucial to achieve the highest degree of progression in the game. The addition of organic components to an upgraded item will increase the multiplier of experience, whereas mechanical components will decrease it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will maximize your experience gain and allow you to progress to the next level of equipment or weapon a lot easier to achieve.

The upgrade item process is complicated and it's essential to understand how it operates in order to get the most out of your upgrades. The system keeps a daily total for the component you are upgrading. Each component has an experience multiplier, and once the total is at a certain level, it will be reset to zero.

The amount of the experience gained by each upgrade component could be affected by the item's hidden rank and its multiplier of experience. This means that the higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade, whereas lower-ranked items are easier to upgrade.

When a new upgrade to your hardware is installed, it's important to carefully remove all connections and fasteners that hold the old component in place. Save these for later in an inventory tray for easy identification and secure storage. Reconnect all wires and cables and connect the power source. Test the computer by turning on. If everything is connected properly the computer should start up normally. This is a crucial step to ensure that the new hardware will work seamlessly with your existing system.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a fantastic tool to improve your gear but you must understand how to use it. Each glyph comes with a range of values it can improve the substatus of and higher-rank Glyphs have higher-quality values. You can only upgrade a Glyph only once, so make sure you make sure you choose carefully. Glyphs are only available only once, and they will vanish after you've used them on an object or artifact.

The most effective glyphs are the ones which increase your chances to roll an affix of the desired type or tier. They are usually found on the top weapons and armor, as well as on accessories. They are also available on the Paragon Board and are usually worth the effort, but they can be difficult to find.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Chests or purchase them at the Trading Post. Some glyphs can only be used once, while others will remain in place. The latter are great for items that need to be re-rolled frequently. The Glyph of Hope allows you to increase your chances of getting a specific affix by making an item appear magical.

Certain glyphs can be used to alter existing affixes. This is most common on gloves, boots and belts, all capable of hosting four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight for example transforms a prefix into an experimental affix. This is a great tool to have if you are looking to maximize your damage output or you want to ensure that you'll receive a top-quality an affix that fits a specific slot.

When you reach 50, the game shifts dramatically. Instead of relying on the campaign, you'll need to navigate the complicated Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds in order to ensure that your character is as perfect as you can get it.

The best glyphs will be those that match your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph, which boosts damage to weak enemies. Control Glyph is another good glyph that can increase damage against enemies that are stunned, frozen or slowed. Each glyph has its own radius that increases as it's upgraded. This makes glyphs an excellent option to upgrade your gear late in the game.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are items for upgrading which allow players to alter the attribute of an item upgrader mod (Mozillabd explains). This can be done in the item window by selecting an item, then pressing the green button, which is accompanied by the arrows that circle. The cost of rerolling depends on the item's rarity.

Reroll tokens can be found in the Mystery Box, as a rare drop from skulled creatures or bought from the Trader. They can also be obtained through Events Items and are also available from other players. They can be used to reroll rings, armors, weapons and other items by increments of 2. Each token that is rerolling gives players the opportunity to roll an attribute that could be higher or lower than their previous roll.

In addition to being able to upgrade rerolls, the reroll token can also be used to recycle items. Recycling an item upgrade will give players a certain amount of points that will add to the gauge of level for the item, depending on its popularity. This is a great way to get rid of old equipment that hasn't been upgraded.

The rerolling token may be used to provide a new weapon trait. These are shown to the player, who can decide whether to accept them or not. The player can offer up to six items at one time and the options expand when the item's rarity and level rises. This option is available through the Upgrade tab within the forge.

Reroll tokens can also be used to reroll the set bonus of an item, which is applied if three or more items in the same set are fitted to a unit. The set bonus can only be applied to units that belong to the same class. It cannot be applied to other classes.

There are a lot of other upgrade items in the game that can be rerolled, such as the recipes. These items aren't sold in the shop or via Rerolls, but rather are transferred to the Non Droppable Pool when players select a Food Card requiring new Ingredients or equipment. The reroll token can be used to reroll the extra bonuses, but the base stats (including all upgrades), and level will remain unchanged.

Leveling

In the game, you can upgrade your equipment with item upgrades. These items can be made by gathering the required ingredients from the NPCs who upgrade items located in major cities. After an item is upgraded, its stats will be boosted. Certain affixes can be rerolled. This could result in a significant increase in an item's value.

In the top-left corner an icon in blue will show up when an item has been upgraded. The item will also display the number of upgrades that are below its maximum level. The item's maximum level will rise if there are more upgrades. The player can upgrade an item as many times as he wants. This allows the player to reach gear breakpoints, which increase the chances of rerolling certain affixes.

The ability to upgrade items gives players the ability to upgrade the level of their weapons and armor, helms, and a helm. This process requires items, which are traded at the upgrader NPC to exchange for currency. The upgrader will show an image of the item's new status and will accept either Happy Tickets or Happy Stars to complete the upgrade. The item used as materials will be destroyed, however the upgraded item will keep its Item EXP for further upgrades.

There is no way to guarantee that an Upgrade will be revealed, but it has the lowest chance of appearing when spinning Pokestops or Gyms. Players can also make an Upgrade on the Porygon to evolve it into the form of a Porygon2, which will consume the item.

The Upgrade is a new feature that was introduced in Generation II. Silph Co. produces a transparent device that holds all kinds of data. It can be used to help Pokemon species grow, and is triggered when traded while holding a Link Cable or Porygon. It is a rare item with a 1% drop rate per spin at Pokestops and Gyms. It can also be obtained by finishing the Upgrade Station event.
