WoW Upgrades - The item Level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for the latter due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item upgrader mod used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the item being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with the help of button, which displays a preview of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Many locations offer item upgraders in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.

In Season 3, the upgrade items system has been altered a bit, with numerous new features added. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items come from an entirely different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item upgrading such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to get their gear up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one use, so it's important to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
