top 5 robot vacuum Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

Robots aren't quite as adept at picking up debris like screws made of metal or pieces of pasta. However, they are great at cleaning pet hair, dust, and dust. The most effective models come with smart navigation technology, which helps them avoid cords, toys and other obstacles in the household.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is a fantastic robot vacuum with many smart features that make it easier to maintain. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most useful features we've encountered in a robotic vacuum. It is a great choice for carpets as well as hard floors. The app walks you through the entire process. It's also easy to use and set up. Its ability to resume where it left off during our tests is an additional impressive feature. It did this for 77 minute on one cleaning, before the battery was exhausted.

The i3+ EVO, unlike some of the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self emptying bin that automatically disposes of debris into an external dirt compartment located on its charging base once it is full. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and keeps the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still requires manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dustbin holds 2.4L of debris and is more than enough to get it through five or four cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.

Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 can store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not the i3+ EVO.

While the i3+ EVO is superior in picking up debris on surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at, it's not the best robot vacuum under 200 when it comes to cleaning edges and corners. It's also not as gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it pushed chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the test bed.

2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro

If you're looking to increase your collection of robot vacuums, or are just starting out using one, the Q5 Pro is a great choice. It packs a lot of power, smart navigation and a user-friendly automation into a slick design at an affordable price. It's the best amazon vacuum pound-for-pound model currently available and even beats some of Roborock's much pricier models in many ways.

This robot does a fantastic job of cleaning floors with no dust and its avoidance system assists it in avoiding furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets, and earns an excellent score in our tests of navigation. The only issue is that it's a little more raucous than the other models we test and it doesn't do similarly in our user satisfaction or predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin of 770ml, meaning that you won't need to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also a lot when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots we have tested. If the battery is empty it returns to its dock and automatically recharges before resuming cleaning where it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen with 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations, makes it perform exceptionally well in our mopping and vacuuming tests. You can schedule cleanings or create no-go zones. You can also see the battery's status. The app is easy to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature will be delayed until 2025. Several other robots don't work with HomeKit however, a lot of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

The TP-Link Tapo R30 Plus robot vacuum cleaner is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robot that can also mop and is reasonably priced. It features a sleek design and a lot of amazing features for the money. It is possible to operate the device by using various buttons on the device or through the app and even use voice commands. The device is powered by batteries and the vacuum container can automatically empty itself.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus does a excellent job of cleaning up messes of all kinds and is suitable for light mopping on hard floors. It comes with mopping cloths that can be replaced and a sweeper brush, and a HEPA filter. It can be used in conjunction with a smart home hub such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for convenient voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus can be easily set up and connect to a variety of floor surfaces by using the automatic mode. This assures that the most effective results are achieved for each room and type of flooring.

You can choose from three cleaning modes that will meet your needs. The vacuuming mode is a thorough cleaning of the room. It makes use of the smart sensor to identify edges, stairs, furniture and other obstacles. The mopping feature can be utilized to automatically clean your floor or to remove stubborn liquid spills and stains. You can combine both functions to get a thorough and deep cleaning.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus comes with a powerful suction, 3 settings for dry mopping and can quickly remove dust, pet hairs, crumbs, and other debris from floors of any type. It can clean carpets without damaging the flooring thanks to special mopping tools.

During the first mapping run the TP-Link RV30 Plus scans and stores the layout of your home using its LiDAR and Gyro dual navigation system. You can alter the map in the app and merge or split rooms according to your preferences. You can also create no-go zones and virtual walls to stop the RV30 Plus from wandering into areas that you don't want it enter.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is among the best full-featured robots for flooring made of hard wood. It has a high-tech mapping system that maps your home even across several floors. And the well-designed base station almost fully automates the cleaning process. It also provides amazing obstacle avoidance and navigation.

This model uses an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map your home and design efficient cleaning routes. The iMop awed us with its assessment of the effectiveness of navigation and coverage and was also good at getting around obstacles, such as furniture. It is also able to find its way back to the base station if it runs out of batteries during a cleaning session.

The spot cleaning mode lets you to clean a particular space on your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a specific path. This is a great option if you have narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test, it performed well cleaning carpets. However, it was unable to clean rugs and carpets with longer piles. It is also able to automatically lift the mop pad once it comes into contact with carpet, which is a fantastic feature to not mop your carpets.

The iMop comes with an onboard dust bin and water tank, which it is empty at the conclusion of every cleaning session. The dust bin can hold up to 2.5 Liters and only has to be cleaned every two cleaning cycles. The water tank is capable of handling half a dozen mopping session before it runs out. The iMop requires less maintenance and cleaning than an average robot vacuum, which can be a big selling point for busy families.

The iMop's smartphone app is user-friendly and packed with configuration options. It has different suction settings, mopping settings and scheduling. It also lets you design virtual walls and no-go zones so that the robot isn't able to wander into rooms that are off limits. The app also allows access to iMop status and error messages.
