1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning robot price times and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missing in corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas or adjust your home map, or change the room's label.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be accomplished easily. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people but it will aid in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are among the best self cleaning vacuum on the market however, it's also expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tried that does very well at picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive however it comes with more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is more affordable and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be empty as often and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
