Upgrades can sometimes increase the performance of a piece of gear and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations used.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. This replaces the item with an identical item and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. However, they don't keep the same level as the original item and any resources wasted will not be refunded.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors by a variety of means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates, or purchased from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of a piece equipment such as increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can roll equipment with three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give players additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a higher quality. To create them, you need a higher-quality reroll token. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens that are placed on action areas, remains on the space until the next Success is to be rerolled. This lets you not waste upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of every Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grasping them. To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's levels and what it will be after being upgraded. Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is attained.
Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be applied to more than one item at once. Additionally each upgrade component will require a specific quantity of items to be added and an appropriate level for the equipment.

For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
When you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item, the game will display an open window that displays the requirements required for that item. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
