The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot automatic hoover - look at this site, can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its price is affordable and its high-end features (such as a dirt detectors) are a plus.

Make sure you regularly inspect your robot's brushes for tangled hair as well as large debris and clean them as needed. Some models can also automatically empty their dust bin on board into a larger one at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they utilize smart mapping technology to design precise floor plans and eliminate common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it spots a lot of dirt on the carpet to get it cleaned up quickly.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. There are some issues, however, that prevent them from being our top option. For instance, the Q5's navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology which means it's susceptible to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. Also, it doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of an area.

It's still a great deal particularly if your home or office has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work when you're at work or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be swapped for a wet one in minutes.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean and effective in tackling larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with strong suction and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot vacuum for carpets, but it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performing combination vacuum and mop uses advanced sensor technology to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste, and it learns your home's layout over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It comes with a battery life that is similar to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to remove and extend its mop. This will help prevent cross contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean the entire house with 66 percent of its battery left. It did a good cleaning job on a variety of floors and rooms with different flooring types, including some area rug. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competitors' compact models this robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it will cost you more and make more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that let you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of an array of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not completely foolproof in our tests, and was sometimes confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on the amount of dirt they tend to be.

If you have a bigger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you inform the robot of which area of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice command. A stair mode can be useful if you have a large furniture. For families with busy schedules, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be very useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more intelligent than its price suggests. It's a pro at vacuuming, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad and a rotating motion that cleans better that most of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping which collects information about your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app has a range of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It's good robot vacuum at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to get caught on low thresholds and is noisier than the other top robot cleaner vacuums we've tried. It also comes with an app that is less intuitive and a small base station that does not double as a bin for emptying.
