How To Determine If You re Ready For Item Upgrade
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
The upgrade of gear can increase its stats base and often increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations used.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you roll a purchased item like an armor, weapon or ring. This allows you to swap the item for one similar item, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests or bought at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of an item such as increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage done by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each of these upgrades the item to a higher quality. To produce them, you'll need a higher-quality reroll token. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next Success is to be rerolled. This helps you save upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that appear at the beginning of every Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grabbing on to them. When they are opened, they will display an explanation and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
In the course of a run, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. In addition, players can get these stones by completing daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". The menu will appear that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. After the player has met the requirements, he is able to hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item upgrading will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item, the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not affect the item's longevity. The system is a great way for players who want to get an edge in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. By clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded piece of gear onto the new gear.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for new players. There are many methods to get them. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade materials and give the item a higher level, granting the item an additional boost in the area. The process will continue until the item is at its highest level.
Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items, as well as a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place an item to be upgraded. On the right side, a preview shows what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. When the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level for an item upgrades is 19.
Once an item reaches the maximum level, its upgrades will not be available for it. Also, when an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can slot into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to give an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, obtained by completing quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Items upgrades enable players to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ depending on the type of item however, you'll usually require Dilithium and the number of Upgrade tokens.
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide extra effects or an increased item upgrader level. These upgrades can be gotten through a variety of sources in the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been added to an item, it isn't able to be removed or substituted without restriction, however glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can boost the item's stats.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases the base defense and provides an additional 20 percent chance to block. The dps "Wildfire" however, increases weapon damage.
Some items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats and more for the fact that it allows players to gain the most value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and could be worth as much as 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. This includes the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) the tier of the item as well as the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
The game will place an item in your inventory after you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how close to finishing the upgrade items. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
