World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it can boost the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each Best item upgrade has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases as it is upgraded. This is the sum of all the leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to do. This is due to the fact that many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.

Item level is a widely used measurement of power and is visible on all tooltips of items. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players can wear since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average level of an item is listed on the character sheet.

Using the item level can help players evaluate the strength of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a sign of the item's condition and its quality. Comparing items from a vendor's stock is possible using the item's level.

The item level can be seen by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are a few theories on how the calculation of the Best item upgrade's level is done. One theory states that the level of an item is determined by formulas that determine the value of the stats of an item really are. It takes into account the fact that various perks have different value, and also that gems in sockets add to the item's overall value. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl, which is usually quite close to the actual Blizzard item level.

This isn't the only factor that affects the level of an item. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also change its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

Stats on an item are a significant element in what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The stats of a base weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modifications that are in turn boosted by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. For instance, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with the rare levels will be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving a special name to the item.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This will cost a specific amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges similar to other methods of rerolling.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However every item will contain at least one stat in the range, unless they are an item that is unique or a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be altered by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or deciding which stats to increase. But as with base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items and the properties that are created by loot and the intensity of these properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade their gear earlier in the game. This is more advantageous in early game runs since players tend to prioritize defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chance of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level of the item and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned by using the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant a further +40 Luck or to increase the Luck of the item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by 5percent. These items can be found in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are costly and not every upgrade will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chances of success for an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their item in the event that it fails.

The rate of success of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..

The success of an item upgrade is also affected by the luck of the item. Every item has a base success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5percent.

The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
