The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is a cost of 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.
Boosters
With an upgrader for your item upgrader mod you can enjoy a number of bonuses. They can include stats, as well as additional bonuses. These bonuses can be applied to weapons or armor, as well as trinkets. They can be used to boost the capabilities of an individual, or they can be added as an aspect of variety to a build.
The World of Warcraft upgrade system allows players to upgrade their gear by paying a currency fee to an upgrader for items. This system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and continued in Warlords Of Draenor. It's a convenient method to boost the level of your equipment, which lets you to avoid the tedious grind and avoid the countless wipes in Mythicand Dungeons.
When an item is upgraded, its base type changes. Upgrades to a normal item produce an Exceptional version, whereas upgrades to an Exceptional model create an Elite. The item upgrader mod will be able to keep its pre-upgrade stats, and will also receive an additional bonus of its new base type. This bonus is randomly chosen. It could be a weapon with an increased damage range, an increased speed of reloading, or increased defense roll.
The number of upgrades you make will determine the amount of extras you receive. Each upgrade will boost the extras in question by a factor of one, up to a maximum of 3. Each upgrade will also increase the stats in the main menu by +1.
Some upgrades also provide additional random boosts in addition to stat boosts. These secondary boosts can be very valuable and should be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others can bring significant value to certain collectors.
Certain items come with inherent boos that are less beneficial when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which provides more slots for potion. These are usually upgraded to add value to a close-to-perfect or perfect item.
Costs
There are a few expenses associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. It can be costly and is dependent on the new level of the item as well as the number of perks it gets. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).
The other is the cost of items needed to upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or a specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these items needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. It could take as long as 8 hours depending on the size of the upgrade. The stats that are the base of the upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl as well as other characteristics. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In certain cases, the upgrade items will grant additional perks that can be selected from a list of benefits.
Rarely, the advantages obtained will cost more than one perk slot; in these situations, the upgrade will only replace the perks with the highest cost. Sometimes, the upgrader may make other adjustments to an item, like changing the type of weapon damage or or removing an unwieldy or operative property. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl, and may require special materials, such as Adamantine.
Success Rate
The upgrading of an item is dependent on the chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it will not succeed. There are several ways to increase your chances of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity or the addition extra materials to your upgrade.
An Upgrade Pity is a product you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of an upgrade succeeding by some percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer, but it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used up to three times.
You can also add additional components to the upgrade to increase its chances of success. These are shown in a separate window, above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can upload is shown directly above the + button.
A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version thereof, can be used to boost the chances of an upgrade succeeding. This item can be useful in the event that your item or weapon is near or has reached the maximum level of its tier. This item allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next level without the risk of it breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful the upgrade will be reversed to its original state. This is often a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you are nearing the highest level for an item.
There are a variety of items available in the Kafra shop that can be used to increase the chances of a successful upgrade. For instance, upgrading a piece of equipment with HD Oridecon or HD Elunium multiple times will give you an increased chance of success. The rate of success will be increased if you increase the chance of getting a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.
Failure Rate
The upgrader of an item allows the player to add an additional slot on their equipment. These slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enchantment. It is important to remember that not all items can be upgraded. The enchantment and upgrade rate is dependent on the rank of the item. The higher the rank of the item is, the more Zeny items will be required to upgrade it.
This system can be quite expensive, particularly for top-of-the-line gear. It could cost as high as 100,000 Z and 100 Carnium to upgrade a weapon or armor. The rate of success decreases as you climb in rank. You can increase the chances of upgrading an item using cash shop items.
Normal Upgrade is a standard upgrade that can only be used on armor, weapons and bikes. It employs different core grades based on the type of Best Item Upgrade. Most commonly, lower grade items will require lower grade cores, while higher grade items will require more expensive ones.
You must have the proper number of cores in order to perform an upgrade. Once you have them click the button next to the item that you want to upgrade. The upgrade window will display a percentage indication of your success chances. This percentage is determined by the upgrade level of the item and the core type you have chosen.
You can also select a safeguard for your item, which will protect your item in the event of failure. The cost of this protection will differ, but it will always be less than the cost of buying a new item. The safeguard is only available once per upgrade, and it is not a valid expiry date unless it is used again.
The UI for the item upgrader can be confusing, but it's not impossible to navigate. The main menu is visible on the left and the upgrade window is displayed on the right. The arrows on the left of the UI represent the various phases of the upgrade process. If you're not sure what you're doing, use the question mark icon for help. The upgrade can take up five minutes.
