World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know how much it can be improved upon a reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a significant risk that the Best item upgrader may be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of upgrade items Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading [the advantage] system lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade item tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item will be replaced with a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a downside since the item may increase in price even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
