1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of manually emptying their robot's dustbin when it fills up.
Both robots do well cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're excellent in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we evaluated the i3+ does not have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could be stuck on things like power cords or socks, and may have issues traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it might encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning from where it left off. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It is self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most significant feature is its auto-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot with voice or via the app.
The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy best robovac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world filled with vacuums with cords that look like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model feels like an automobile. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide fade-free power for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system captures allergens and expels cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to suck up large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction modes to meet the task being performed. The model also comes with an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and offers an easy access to two attachments as well as an Wand clip. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's biggest drawback is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is an average, not an exceptional, run time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is enough time to clean the typical home but not enough to get into every corner. (A second pass generally works). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
One of iRobot's most popular robot vacuums, the 694 is a basic model that's a great choice for people who don't wish to spend too much money on a robot. It could pick up the majority of types of debris in our testing and often went over the same area many times to give an extensive clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach the corners and edges of walls.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. It is prone to getting stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and will often run out of power before returning to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways in that it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.
The elegant RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most purposes, because it has a longer battery life, can change its suction power mode manually and has physical boundary strips, and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It's also more robust, has a more powerful motor, and is more effective on floors with bare or low-pile.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It removed 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It was not as successful in avoiding taller items like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's priced higher than other models that we tested, and this could be a deterrent for certain shoppers.
The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that you can access via the app. You can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature lets you to monitor your children or pets when you're away. The filter and dustbin can be washed for quick, painless cleanup. However, the HRV 425BL kept moving across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program a cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving advantage.
