Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of get a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self cleaning vacuum-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.

The design is also more appealing than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base automatic floor cleaner Dirt disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuum cleaner vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. With the app you can start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or change the labels of rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed emptying the bin is done easily. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best robot hoover in the industry however, it's costly.

It's a tiny base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've used that has done well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price price.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive, but offers many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap on one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an outlet for power and enough space for it to move around however.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
