World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instance "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item level upgrade will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure what will be improved after an update.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item level upgrade. When enough points have been earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is highly useful in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader (demilked.com) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go back to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example an item level upgrade of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to carry each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
