It s The Next Big Thing In Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.
The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after the reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.
You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Using Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item level upgrade has a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item upgrader mod, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it could waste a lot of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is highly important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The ability to Upgrade Items (Elearnportal.Science) allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items might require different upgrades than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses listed above.
