Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, meaning you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot vacuum black friday robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot vac. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self cleaning vacuum-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who want both a remote vacuum and a mop. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to determine whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb and has very few misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas, alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.

It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper, but offers more features, including stairs and a fully-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted floors, as well as a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical: Auto cleaning robots for home start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The primary characteristic that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable robot vacuum and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
