10 Things That Your Family Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item or mark Level, and also boost other stats.
Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader you choose and what type of upgrade you choose to perform. This is due to how many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.
The level of an item is a commonly used measurement of power and can be found on all item tooltips. It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average item level can be found on the character sheet.
The level of an item will allow players to compare the strength of equipment when choosing to buy or sell. It's an excellent indicator of the quality of an item and how much damage it's capable of dealing with. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller can be done using the item's level.
The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the complete item description, including its ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor and entering /itemlevel into chat.
There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula which calculates the amount an item's stats are worth. It considers that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.
However, this is not the only factor that affects an item's ilvl, because the size of the area the item is dropped into can change the value of its stats, for instance by adding an amount to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher ilvl than those from lower-level instances.
Item Stats
The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game uses a variety of them in various ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The stats of a base weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn enhanced by the player's level.
Upgrades to an item may increase its stats. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. For example, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.
Another method to alter the stats of an item is through affixes. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to give items extra damage, special abilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to make them unique by naming them.
Currently, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other rerolling options.
Players can choose to upgrade an item with specific stats or reroll the affixes. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However each item will contain at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an exclusive item or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to reroll affixes, or choose which stats to enhance. But, like base equipment, this would need to be performed on a per-item basis and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats gained or lost at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items and the properties that are spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is more advantageous for early game runs, since players tend to prioritize weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.
Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each new level of item. It is also possible to be enhanced by using anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, shields, and armor can be created or spawned using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to add another 40 luck, or to increase the Luck of an item upgrader mod up to 140.
Certain items, like the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any ability that causes damage by five percent. These items can be found in the shop or created using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades work. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.
When you upgrade an item level upgrade the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading that item and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to how much the success rates can be improved and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%.
The luck of an item can also influence the success of an upgrade. Each item has a base success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by an additional five percent.
The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
