10 Unexpected Pushchair Tips
Choosing a Double pushchair twin - look at these guys,
You'll require a double stroller travel to take your twins from one place to B. Our range includes a range of twin prams and double buggies in various configurations to suit your family needs.
Find a stroller that can be folded in just one step, and easily put into your boot. You may also want an ultra-light design that is easy to navigate and manoeuvre especially when you have busy streets to navigate.
Side-by-Side
These are the most common type of double pushchair and generally can seat two children in a row. They're generally larger than single pushchairs. This makes them less agile on footpaths. It can also be difficult to move between kerbs when an automobile seat is installed. The extra size allows them to move more easily through doorways and also more evenly distributed, so it is less burdensome to carry around on your back.
They can be used as a twin pram from birth, and many models will take both a carrycot and 2 car seats. Some models can be converted to a single mode with a basket to the side (like the Cybex Venus).
The Bugaboo Donkey 5 is a perfect illustration of this. In Twin Mode, you can place the rear seat next to a carrycot. This creates a totally enclosed space for twins, and is perfect for babies. This pram bags is also equipped with a couple of really neat accessories, including newborn cocoons, which can be put on face either way (for twin-facing prams) or facing forwards (for a standard single). It is not as lightweight as other models but it's incredibly well designed.
Lightweight
Cybex is known for its ingenuity, and this single-to-double pushchair is no exception. Its innovative frame expands widthways to take two seats and can be used it as a twin pushchair right from birth with the addition of two infant cocoons (PS59 each) that create enclosed lie-flat spaces for infants. It is also possible to use it as mono mode with just one child thanks to a large basket that sits behind the seat. It has both front and rear suspensions, so it can handle bumps and uneven surfaces better. Our reviewers selected this car as their top choice.
Available in a range of stylish colors.
Tandem
If you're planning to have twins, you want a tandem pushchair that allows children to sit close to each other, so they can see each one another. They are ideal for activities like going to the zoo since the children can look at all the animals together. These are also great for parents who want to keep an eye on both their toddler and their baby simultaneously.
Some tandem pushchairs are extremely adaptable, as they can be converted back to single mode. This is especially useful if you plan to have more children than two (or when your oldest child does not require a buggy any longer). This means that you won't be left with an empty pushchair that you need to store away, which can be costly.
The Cybex Venus, for example, can be used either in mono or double mode. Its frame can expand to allow for an additional seat. It's not the tiniest pushchair but it has an enormous basket that can be placed behind the front seat in double mode, or at the back if in mono mode. The seats can be positioned to face each other or one can be set higher up so it can be able to look over the other and observe what they're doing.
Other double tandem pushchairs, such as the Joolz Geo 3, are capable of seating one over the other or side by side. The sleek, compact pushchair frame makes it easy to maneuver through doorways and aisles of supermarkets. Some models can be used on uneven terrain or Stroller Newborn as a jogging path due to their large rear wheels and four-wheel suspension.
Another benefit of a tandem pushchair is that it will often include two carrycots, or a car seat, and buggy seat. This allows you to build an entire travel system from the outset and save money on additional purchases. It's important to keep in mind, however, that tandems are heavier and longer than single pushchairs, and may feel less stable when bumping up kerbs or going over uneven surfaces. These pushchairs also need to be dismantled in order to fit into cars.
