World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be inserted. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item upgrader kit's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what can be improved upon a reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the Best item upgrader, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player improves a piece of equipment it is replaced by the new item. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item it has an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item level upgrade returning to its original condition and the player having to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will still need to bring every piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
