iRobot suggests that you clean up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and takes the dirt out of the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes about three hours to fully charge.
2. Roomba by iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model of the flagship line from iRobot and is equipped with the most recent features. It has self-charging and self-navigating. But the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or via voice.
In our testing the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces types, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying that eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session, move itself around the room, and even vacuum the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. We were able, once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in most homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

It's capable of sucking up a variety of types of debris and sizes during our testing, and it often passes over the same areas multiple times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and edges of walls.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, like our top picks, i3+EVO and the j7+ Series.
