World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade items increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved following an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

In the endgame you'll find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing upgrade items Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player upgrade the equipment they have it is replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

item upgrading - anchor - allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item upgrade reverting to its initial state which means that the player has to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than standard gear. For example, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
