World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item or mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its stats increase in value. This is the sum of all its upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the fact that many perks must be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips of items. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players can wear since PvP is not available at lower levels. The average item level is listed on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's an indicator of the item's damage and quality. Comparing items from a vendor's stock can be done using the item level.

On PC, you are able to check the level of the item upgrader mod using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the full description of the Best item upgrader, as well as its level. It is also accessible by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is determined. One theory is that the item level is a number derived from a formula that determines how much an item's stats are worth. It considers the fact that various perks have different value, and also that sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's real item level.

However, this is not the only factor which determines the ilvl of an item, since the level of the area the item dropped in can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding a level to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item upgrader kit are a major element in what makes or breaks an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat mods on a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's level.

The upgrades to an item can boost its stats. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.

Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to provide items with extra damage or other special abilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to distinguish them by naming them.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items, which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other rerolling options.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which of the available stats they want to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The possible ranges of stats for an item are determined by the level of the item, but every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the specified range, unless it's an item that is unique or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll affixes, or choose which stats to enhance. As with the base equipment, this would have to be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the probability of obtaining items as well as the properties spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives players the chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in early game runs than later ones because most players value more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each level of the item. It is also possible to be increased with the use of anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor and weapons come with a default Luck value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to give +40 Luck or to boost the luck of the item upgrader mod up to 140.

Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any skill that is able to deal damage by five percent. These items can be purchased at the store, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

item upgrades (redirect to stairways.wiki) are a costly process and not all upgrades will be successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of completing the upgrade successfully, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on how much the success rates can be improved and the probability of an upgrade failing can't exceed 100%.

The luck of an item may affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. All items have an average success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5%.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items, so enchantment glint and other effects can be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
