1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of any object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that resembles a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand, which most other robots couldn't do. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated cleaning vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not perform to the standards. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas or alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've tried that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does it all.
However, if you're looking to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot cleaner commercial (planforexams.com) vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just attach one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to a power outlet and enough space to allow it to move however.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
