The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare, and they are particularly adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.
Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also quiet and operates while you are at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming that is offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best automatic vacuum robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take the care of mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot uses an array of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.
The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vac works and alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on how dirty they tend to be.

It can be used to create cleaning schedules or create an automatic hoover spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for better performance. The app has a range of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.
