Path of Exile item upgrading (site)

item upgrade upgrading allows players to enhance their weapons and equipment with new affixes that boost its base stats or providing additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player needs to have it in their inventory, as well as access to the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, such as rings can be upgraded to stronger bases. Items with strong bases, like Titans from eth, have no change in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into trinkets, weapons, armor and gathering tools, providing an attribute bonus or extra impact when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, or found as loot gathered by enemies or obtained from chests and missions. Certain upgrades also have cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be above a certain point before they are upgraded.

In order to upgrade a weapon or piece of armor, the user must select it and then click on the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will display on the right-hand side of the screen a preview that shows the expected upgrade stats as well as the components or materials required for the upgrade.

There are three types that are universal upgrades (which include gems) Prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, like gems, can be used on any kind of equipment. They provide a smaller bonus than upgrade components that have a type restriction. Infusions are gems that can only be used in legendary and ascended equipment. They offer the same benefits as jewels, but cannot be used in other equipment. Suffix upgrades can be added to gathering tools. They add the suffix to the end of item upgrader kit names. For instance the addition of the suffix Glyph would make a Staff wrapping of Minor Vigor a Canthan staff wrapping of Minor Vigor.

If a player upgrades a gathering tool, and then replaces glyphs with another glyph, the old one will be returned to their inventory. However replacing any other upgrade component will damage it, with the exception of inscriptions which can be freely swapped.

Leveling

The upgrade system in Path of Exile has some important differences from previous versions. Gear is now divided into tracks, and items can only be upgraded a set number of times before they are "leveled out." The cost of upgrading increases with each level up however the materials required don't increase as much. This allows players to focus their efforts on a handful of key items and maximize their impact instead of spreading the upgrade costs across multiple items.

Once an Best item upgrader has been finished being leveled, it will be eligible for a new set of upgrade components, and a boost in the chance that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is known as the Artisan's Energy. It resets at 0 if the upgrade fails or increases when the upgrade succeeds.

Once a piece of gear is upgraded to its maximum level it is able to receive affixes that will boost its attributes. The number of affixes that are available will depend on the item's base. For example an uncommon or unique weapon with a base that is standard will only have two affixes. A legend armor will have eight affixes.

Each upgrade step requires a certain number of Flightstones or Crests, based on the type of item at its current level and what slot it is located in. Weapons typically require more Flightstones than other equipment.

If an item does not get to its maximum level, the NPC will give the player the option of transfer it to a different character and re-infuse it with an upgrade set that is different. This process can take up to two hours and costs the same amount of material but will have a lower chance of success.

Engineers will utilize a level to compare the height of the building against an established point, such as a benchmark. This method is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the level, backsighting rod and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method ensures that structures are built to the highest level of accuracy and security.

Rerolling

Rerolling refers to the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is a vital aspect of the game and can drastically increase the strength of an item upgrader, damage, or other attributes. This can be done via the item menu or by pressing the Reroll button of an upgraded item. Rerolling items can be expensive and should be done sparingly.

The game allows players to recycle upgraded items, and use them to obtain reroll tokens. These tokens can be used to upgrade the original item or a similar item. Recyclable items come with an indicator of the level which shows how much of the upgrade gauge has been filled. The rarity and the cost of upgrading an item will determine the level of filling.

Prior to this, certain upgrades were given priority affixes, which made them easier for players to roll. This meant that you'd receive the most crucial stats for your build more frequently than others. These included things like the armor's total armor, thorns and control impaired duration reduction stats or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.

This has changed since the last patch. Priority affixes have been removed and all upgrades will have the same chances of rolling for all stats. This can be a great or bad thing dependent on your needs and expectations from your equipment.

Each upgraded item may also be equipped with a special fixed-value bonus that boosts its power by a certain percentage. These bonuses are rolled into the usual affixes. The more you improve a product, the greater your chances of receiving an exclusive bonus.

The game also features various sets which give a set bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are equipped on a unit. This is a great way to give a character a lot more power without spending a lot of money.

Many players have the habit of rerolling their weapons and gear, especially in the early stages. Rerolling can help you gain a stronger character faster, which allows you to progress in the game and attain higher tiers.

Sets

Sets are collections that can be set up in different ways. They can be of different sizes, have none of the elements, or contain one element. They can be utilized to organize data or organize information. They are also useful in studying patterns. Sets can be classified in various ways such as size and shape.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom offers an array of upgradeable set items. Some items are worth upgrading and others aren't. Sets of armor that offer the highest defense value or set bonuses are usually worth upgrading. Weapon upgrades are not as effective in boosting stats as their counterparts in purple. This makes them less appealing to upgrade if you have lots of weapons or armor pieces already.

Set items can be upgraded to include unique procs that are useful for specific builds. This is evident in Aldur's Advance Boots and Guillaume's Face. Both were upgraded to Exceptional Winged Helms as well as Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (Strength requirements and Level requirements were also increased).

Upgrades can also be done to bring certain items to parity with the tiers. For instance the Immortal King set has a wide range of levels, ranging from 29 to 76. Upgrades to lower-level items could enhance their defense, and make them more competitive when it comes to damage.

Clicking the Upgrade button will show the item's attributes and the items required to upgrade it. The item's attributes will be displayed together with any required items. To upgrade the No-mouth face for instance, 1.1K Scrap Materials will be required, along with 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards. Alternately, players can go to the Leaderboard or Golden vendor in Cyrodiil to check the requirements for upgrading specific items.

In general the jewelry and weapons have greater value for trading when fully upgraded than armor. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons that have spell/weapon-damage glyphs. This will bring about a significant improvement in their stats. Weapons with an upgraded appearance will also benefit from this because its defense will increase as it moves from purple to gold.
