Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one session without the need to switch devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will reveal exactly what the robot completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that must be completed like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto vacuum and mop-refilling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot vacuum cleaner reviews passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan.
