The best automatic vacuum cleaner Robot Hoover

The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot automatic hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line functions (such as dirt detectors) are both positives.

Be sure to check your robot vacuum that vacuums and mops's brushes for hair that is tangled and large debris and clean them as required. Some models also self-empty their onboard dust bin into a larger one at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have tested. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model), they use intelligent mapping to design precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature carpet boost, a feature that increases the robot's power when it sees an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it clean quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept in removing hair from dogs. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good value, especially if your office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also quiet and can be used when you're at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot automatic hoover for carpets, but it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors that help it keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time and provide better cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to remove and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be utilized to reach under low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire house, finishing with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms that had various flooring types, such as certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch, and it nimbly avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming this feature, which hasn't been seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our tests. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully self-refill and empty its base station, and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in mornings prior to work or during the night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also a bit costly, but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally impressive and attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a variety of sophisticated features to help you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however this was not foolproof in our tests and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vacuum works and also alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house according to how dirty they are.

If you own a larger home, you should consider selecting a model with a zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to inform the robot of which area of your house needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control. A stairway mode is beneficial if you have number of furniture. Also the recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you'd think from its price. It is a good vacuum cleaner and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad that has a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've tested. It's also self-sufficient with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that is washable.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping session that collects data about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to improve performance. The app also gives access to a variety of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that thoroughly cleans the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is capable of vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to get caught on low thresholds and is louder than the other top robotic vacuums we've tested. It also has an app that is less intuitive and has a tiny base station that can't double as a bin for emptying.
